Information we collect

We collect only the information needed to operate HousRank and respond to you. The main ways we collect information are the forms you submit and basic technical data your device sends automatically.

• Lead and contact forms — when you claim a home, request mortgage pre-approval or a financing callback, or contact an agent or our team about a listing, we collect the details you provide, such as your name, email address, phone number, the property you are interested in, and any message or preferences you include.
• Email digest — when you sign up for the HousRank email digest, we collect your email address and the areas or searches you want updates about.
• Saved homes and searches — if you save homes or searches, we associate them with the email address you provide so we can keep your list and send the alerts you opted into.
• Automatically collected data — like most websites and apps, we receive standard technical information such as your IP address, browser or device type, pages viewed, and referring pages, collected through cookies and similar technologies.

What we do not collect

HousRank is an informational ranking tool, not a lender, insurer, or screening service. We do not request or store sensitive financial information such as income, Social Security numbers, bank account numbers, or credit reports. Mortgage calculator inputs are used in your browser to estimate payments and are not stored as part of a sensitive financial profile.

We do not publicly display private owner information. Owner names, phone numbers, and private financial details are never shown on listing or ranking pages.

How we use information

• To respond to your requests, including claim-home submissions, pre-approval or financing callbacks, agent or team contact requests, and other inquiries.
• To send the email digest and the price-drop or new-listing alerts you opted into, and to let you unsubscribe.
• To operate, maintain, secure, and improve HousRank, including measuring how the Services are used.
• To detect, prevent, and address fraud, abuse, security issues, and technical problems.
• To comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Use.

Third-party tracking and analytics

We use cookies, local storage, and similar technologies to keep the Services working and to understand how they are used. We may use privacy-conscious analytics tools to measure aggregate traffic and performance (for example, which pages are visited and how the site performs). These tools may set their own cookies or collect device and usage data subject to their own privacy policies.

You can control cookies through your browser settings, and most browsers let you block or delete them. You can also enable a “Do Not Track” or global privacy control signal; where required by law, we honor recognized opt-out preference signals. Blocking some cookies may affect how parts of HousRank work.

HousRank does not run third-party advertising networks that build cross-site advertising profiles of you, and we do not sell your personal information (see your privacy rights below).

Third-party listing data

Listing information shown on HousRank — including prices, photos where available, days on market, and property attributes — is sourced from third-party real-estate data providers. We do not control that data and it may be incomplete, inaccurate, or out of date. HousRank scores and rankings are informational estimates derived from this data and our methodology, not appraisals or guarantees. Always verify details with the listing agent or an authoritative source before acting.

How we share information

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only as needed to run HousRank or as required by law:

• Service providers — vendors who host our infrastructure, send our emails, or provide analytics, acting on our instructions under appropriate confidentiality obligations.
• Lead routing — when you submit a lead (for example a pre-approval request or an agent contact), we may share the details you provided with the relevant agent, lending partner, or our team so they can respond to you.
• Legal and safety — when we believe disclosure is required by law, regulation, or legal process, or is necessary to protect the rights, property, or safety of Mektra, our users, or the public.
• Business transfers — in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, subject to this policy.

The email digest and unsubscribing

If you sign up for the HousRank email digest or alerts, we use double opt-in confirmation and you can unsubscribe at any time. Every digest and alert email includes an unsubscribe link, and you can also email us at privacy@mektra.ai to be removed. We will stop sending marketing or digest emails promptly after you unsubscribe, though we may still send transactional messages related to a request you submitted.

Data retention and security

We keep information for as long as needed to provide the Services and for legitimate business or legal purposes, then delete or de-identify it. We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect information, but no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Your privacy rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights regarding your personal information, including the right to access, correct, or delete the information we hold about you, the right to obtain a copy of it, and the right to opt out of the “sale” or “sharing” of personal information and certain targeted advertising.

Do not sell or share my personal information: we do not sell your personal information and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. If our practices ever change, we will provide a clear opt-out.

We will verify your request as required by law and will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights. You may use an authorized agent where the law permits.

Children's privacy

HousRank is intended for adults and is not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date above, and material changes will be reflected on this page. Your continued use of HousRank after an update means you accept the revised policy.
